Counselor Profile: Anthony McDonald
Anthony McDonald has the self proclaimed “odd” distinction of changing his major five years after graduating. Initially earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Anthony sought to answer bigger questions about life while being invested in deeper thought. A drive for deeper understanding led Anthony to seek a graduate degree in classical studies from the University of Notre Dame and he is now a philosophy teacher and administrator at a classical learning school in Louisville, KY. Anthony hopes to help students find schools which will help them make their lives better in the truest sense with the understanding that a university should help the student form intellectually, morally, and virtuously. Anthony is coming to CLI with the affirmation that the CLI mission helps students truly take into account what they want and need from an education, not just the pursuit of higher learning as a means to financial peace.
